Our Access Ambassadors

Our Access Ambassadors are at the heart of Piws’ work.

They are disabled people, parents, carers and individuals with lived experience of access barriers who help shape how accessibility is understood, reviewed and improved across Wales.

Our Piws Access Ambassadors

Our Access Ambassadors come from across Wales and represent a wide range of lived experiences. Each ambassador brings valuable insight into different access needs, challenges and priorities.

Sally Aitken

Rhyl, North Wales

I have two young children and we love getting out and exploring North Wales and the North West, including cathedrals, museums and local history. I’m a Welsh speaker. I’m a wheelchair user.

Gracie Mellalieu

Mold, North Wales

I became an Access Ambassador because I’m a wheelchair user and don’t like how many places aren’t accessible when I would need them to be.

Macy Williams

Wrexham, North Wales

I became an Access Ambassador because I’m passionate about making spaces truly inclusive—especially for people like me with autism and other complex needs. I use my experiences to raise awareness, create supportive resources, and help others feel seen.

Kamar Elzhoziel

Porthmadog, North Wales

I am Kamar and I am 24 years old and from Porthmadog. I joined as I believe everybody deserves to be able to have accessibility and be noticed. I also believe everyone should have equal opportunities to do things. I enjoy doing different activities myself, as long as they are accessible. I am always looking for accessible activities for myself and my friends to do so we can have fun in the community.

Laura Billington

Cardigan, Mid West Wales

My name is Laura Billington and I love taking photos and making an impact on my community I think I would be a great ambassador because I’m myself. I’m a wheelchair user so I understand and know how difficult it is to get around. to help people in or tourists in this community.

Nikki Adkins

Holyhead, Anglesey

I’m NIkki, I’m a mom to two wonderful boys 12 & 10 both whom have learning disabilities and autism. I love going on walks with my children and my dog Nala. Or going to the gym and spending time with the ones I love.

I came apart of Piws because of my passion to get the world to understand children and adults with disabilities to make family days out easier for families like mine.
